Steven Spears
I am Steve Spears. I was 57 when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Previously I had a heart attack when I was 54. So I pay close attention to my physical and blood work. In 2023 my PSA was. 04, 2024 .08, 2025 1.6, then 2026 3.3. All values under the dreaded 4. I said something to my doctor and asked if we could look into it. Given I doubled each year, they agreed. The finger test wasn't enlarged. They did the MRI which came back a 4. I never even knew about the MRI. Biopsy was next. I came back with 2 spots and a Gleason score of 4+4. I didn't really have any options. I went and saw an oncologist but he said don't do radiation. At the time of writing this, I am 2 days post op. I have had 16 surgeries. Maybe because I am older, this one is hurting. So much more to share. Just not right now.
